Cael Dent has been promoted to Coordinator of Athletic Communications and Broadcast in October of 2025 after serving six months as the Assistant Sports Information Director.
In his role, Dent assists in gameday operations, creating game notes and game programs, updating player/coaches bios, and mentoring the Denison Sports Network student broadcasters.
Dent arrives to Granville after serving time as a student broadcaster at Otterbein University, mainly serving as the play-by-play and color commentator for the men's and women's basketball teams. He also did time as the public address announcer for men's and women's lacrosse and calling stats.
While at Otterbein, Dent was a four-year letter winner in football, three-time academic All-OAC and two-time academic All-District. He graduated in May 2025 with a bachelor's degree in journalism/media communications.
Dent is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and currently resides there.
