Adriene Henery

Adriene Henery enters her second season as the assistant softball coach/pitching coach at Denison University in 2025.

Henery was part of the 2024 NCAC Softball Coaching Staff of the Year. The Big Red posted a 25-12 overall record, an 11-3 league record, and earned the number two seed in the NCAC Softball Tournament in 2024. Annabelle Calderon earned First Team All-America honors at catcher from the NFCA. Calderon was also named the NCAC Player of the Year, First-Team All-NCAC and First Team All-Region. Five members of the team earned All-NCAC honors.

Before Denison, Henery was most recently an assistant softball coach at Bexley City Schools (2022-23) and at the club level with the 14u Viper Organization and the 18u Intensity Organization. She was also the Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Director for Johnson Park Middle School (2022-23). 

Henery has also worked as a member of the Academic Support Staff for Student-Athletes at the University of Pittsburgh (2020), as a graduate assistant for a Life Skills program for student-athletes at Carlow University (2019-2020), and as an Event Staff Supervisor for the Office of Student Life at Ohio State University (2018-2019).

Henery earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the Ohio State University in 2019 and earned a Master of Arts in Student Affairs from Carlow University in 2020. She was a softball student manager for the Buckeyes in 2018.
