Laina Connor

Laina Connor enters her third season as the assistant softball coach at Denison in 2020.

Connor came to Denison from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, where she served as the graduate assistant softball coach for the Titans in 2017. In her lone season at Westminster, the Titans went 28-12 overall and earned a spot in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Tournament Championship game.

Prior to Westminster, Connor was a varsity softball player in each of her four years at Muskingum University. In 2014, she served as the starting first baseman for the Muskies when they won both the regular season and tournament championships in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Off the field, Connor assisted with recruitment, on-campus tours, softball camps, and served on question and answer panels for incoming recruits.

In addition to her playing career, Connor coached for the Armstrong Force travel softball team from 2013 to 2015. As a coach, Connor was essential in teaching her players softball skill sets, teamwork and leadership qualities while planning practices and running drills.

A native of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Connor earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Marketing from Muskingum in 2016.  She was a recipient of multiple Dean’s list honors during her college career.
