Senior swimmers Jill Boo (Anoka, Minn./Anoka)
and Sarah Peck (Palo Alto, Calif./H.M. Gunn) were
named to the 2004-05 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America®
Women's At-Large first-team as selected by the College Sports
Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
For Boo, a second-team Academic All-America selection in
2003-04, she capped off her decorated career at Denison with her
third consecutive national championship in the 100 butterfly at the
2005 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. An 18-time
All-American, Boo has helped Denison to four consecutive top-four
finishes at the NCAA championships.
Peck leaves Denison as a 20-time All-American and a six-time
All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection. At this year's NCAA
Championship meet she notched five top-eight finishes. She is
ranked fifth all-time in Denison history according to number of
All-American certificates won. Boo and Peck are the 38th and 39th
Academic All-America selections from Denison since the program's
inception in 1952.
To be eligible for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America
team the student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve,
maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a scale of
4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at
his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports
