Denison women's soccer senior Sarah Ash (Cincinnati,
Ohio/Sycamore) was named to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine
Academic All-America second-team as announced by the College Sports
Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Ash, who was last year's North Coast Athletic Conference
Offensive Player of the year, is a four-time All-NCAC
performer and a two-time, first-team all-conference
selection. Since 2005 she has led Denison to four consecutive
NCAA Tournament appearances and conference championship in
2008. A four-year starter, Ash has played in 89 career games
and has scored 24 goals and added 21 assists. Over the last
four seasons Ash and the Big Red have compiled an impressive
60-20-9 record which is good for a .725 winning percentage.
In 2007 Ash was named the Ohio College Player of the Year and
was a NSCAA/adidas first-team All-American. She is the 54th
Academic All-America selection from Denison University. A
psychology and spanish double major, Ash holds a 3.73 grade point
average and is a member of Psi Chi, psychology honorary.

Teams Program is a premier, nationwide college scholar-athlete
awards program. It recognizes 816 outstanding student-athletes
annually in Division I, II, III and NAIA covering all NCAA
