SPECIAL NOTE:
This Denison victory marks Big Red head coach Ted Barclay's 300th career
soccer win! As the men's coach at Denison for 25 years in the 1960s,
'70s and '80s, Coach Barclay won 253 games. He has been DU's women's
head coach since 1993, earning a record of 47 wins, 25 losses and 2 ties
  (.640 winning percentage).

In their first year under Barclay's direction, the DU women booters
posted a 16-4-1 record, including a perfect 8-0 North Coast Athletic
Conference ledger. In addition to earning the conference championship
title, the '93 campaign produced DU's second consecutive NCAA Division
III Women's Soccer Championship tournament appearance. Barclay was duly
honored as the North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

At 3-1 in the NCAC this season, the Big Red currently find themselves
in a second-place tie with Allegheny College. Both teams trail league-
leading Wooster, which owns a perfect 6-0 conference record. Denison
will host Wooster in an important NCAC match this Saturday, October 19,
as part of DU's 80th Annual Homecoming Weekend festivities. The Denison-
Wooster battle is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. on the varsity soccer field.
