KENYON TOO MUCH FOR CONFERENCE OPPONENTS
CANTON, Ohio - The Denison men's swimming and diving team finished second
with 1,392.50 points as the Kenyon Lords claimed their 17th national NCAC
Championship.
On a day that belonged to the Lords, the Big Red swam competitively
finishing in the top three in four of the six events. Tim Chiappetta, Drew
Anderson and J.P. AuWerter finished two-three-four in the 1650 Yard
Freestyle with times or 16:07.11, 16:08.64 and 16:15.71, respectively. In
the 100 Yard Freestyle, Grant Rowe place second witha time of 46.76. Adam
Daigneault's time of 2:07.56 in the 200 Breaststoke was good for third
place. Finally, the 400 Yard Frestyle Relay team finished in second with
a time of 3:04.62.
Denison travels to Cleveland for the Case Western Reserve Classic on
Saturday, February 17. Swimmers qualifying for the NCAA National
Championships will travel to Buffalo, N.Y. on March 8-10.
