2001 NORTH COAST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Women's / Men's Swimming & Diving Championships

DENISON HOLDS ONTO SECOND PLACE
CANTON, Ohio - The Denison men held on to the number two spot behind
leader Kenyon after day two of the 2001 North Coast Athletic Conference
Swimming & Diving Championships. The team finished the day with 897 points
and ready to make one last charge for the conference title on day three
Denison swam well finishing either second or third in six of the seven
events. The 200 yard medley relay team of Ryan Patterson, Ben Douglass,
Brian Goldthorpe and Trent Johnson finished second with a time of 1:34.02.
Adam Daigneault placed third in the 400 yard individual medley touching
the wall in 4:07.10. Brian Goldthorpe swam a 50.95 in the 100 yard
butterfly good for a third place finish. The 800 yard freestyle relay
team of Adam Daigneault, J.P. AuWerter, Nick Chester and Jared Smith
placed second with a time of 7:02.86.
The 2001 NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships continue tonight with finals
beginning at 7:00 p.m.
