GAME SUMMARY:

DELAWARE, Ohio -- Junior midfielder Brad Meyer (Devon, Pa.; Conestoga)
scored a man-up goal to break a 7-7 tie and start a game-ending 5-1 run
that lifted No. 7 Denison University to a non-conference win over No. 8
Ohio Wesleyan University here Saturday.

DU senior midfielder T.J. King (West Hartford, Conn; Hall) followed with a
goal for a 9-7 Big Red lead. Ohio Wesleyan junior attacker Jason Fogelson
(Bridgewater, Conn.; Canterbury School) scored his career-high sixth goal
of the game to bring the Bishops to within one goal at 9-8 early in the
fourth quarter, but Ohio Wesleyan would not score again while Denison
reeled off three insurance goals in the final eight minutes.

King and sophomore attacker Kip Hale (Salida, Colo.; Pomfret School
[Conn.]) each recorded a hat trick for the Big Red. Denison sophomore
goalie Peter Royer (Avon, Conn.; Westminster School) stopped 13 OWU shots
on the day, and his Ohio Wesleyan counterpart, junior Corey Ayers
(Chattanooga, Tenn.; McCallie), made nine saves in front of the Bishop
net.

The Big Red win avenges a 12-9 league loss to Ohio Wesleyan at Denison
just two weeks ago. These two teams could possibly battle each other one
more time this year in the NCAA Division III postseason playoffs. The
1996, '97 and '99 seasons each saw such a third meeting.
