GAME SUMMARY
The #9 Big Red of Denison University handed the #8 Rochester Institute of
Technology its first loss of the 2000 season, defeating the Tigers by a
13-5 score in Rochester Saturday.
Denison was led by junior attackman Sean O'Brien (Mountain Lakes, N.J.;
Peddie School) who netted five goals, four of which came in the second
half. Also impressive in the scoring column for the Big Red was senior
midfielder T.J. King (West Hartford, Conn; Hall) who added one goal and
four assists.
Sophomore goalkeeper Peter Royer (Avon, Conn.; Westminster) recorded 14
saves for Denison, while senior Adam Platzer (Geneva, N.Y.; Geneva) made
17 saves for the Tigers.
Denison's next game will open its 2000 North Coast Athletic Conference
schedule as the Big Red travel to Springfield, Ohio, to take on the Tigers
of Wittenberg University at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28. RIT returns to
action on Wednesday, March 29, at 4 p.m., when it hosts Elmira College.
