CARLISLE, Pa. — No. 10 Denison women's lacrosse heads home from its road trip, 2–0, after a 9–4 win over Dickinson College on Sunday afternoon at Biddle Field.
The Big Red (2–0) avenged last season's narrow 9–8 loss at Dickinson with a dominant performance, using a three-goal first quarter and a four-goal second to open a 7–1 halftime lead. Finlay Harmon and Mary Martinson each recorded hat tricks, and Denison controlled possession and answered every Dickinson push to close out the victory.
Denison opened the scoring early as Harmon finished a pass from Bridget Sheehy, and Martinson followed with an unassisted strike to double the lead. Moments later, Grayson O'Marra cashed in on a feed from MK Barnhart to cap a three-goal first-quarter surge and give the Big Red a 3–0 advantage. After Dickinson got on the board in the second quarter, Martinson capped her hat trick and Grayson O'Marra added another during a key stretch that helped Denison push the lead further out. Sydney Lavin added another late in the half, and Harmon netted two more after the break to secure her own hat trick as the Big Red answered every Dickinson push down the stretch.
Harmon and Martinson paced the attack with three goals apiece, O'Marra added two, and Lavin chipped in one. Denison matched Dickinson with 21 shots while holding a 14–10 edge in shots on goal, and the Big Red controlled possession with a 12–3 advantage in draw controls. The defense and goalkeepers combined for six saves, and Denison cleared efficiently at 15-of-19 to help seal the win.
