Granville, Ohio - On a weekend with perfect weather and fall slowly starting to creep in, the Denison men's golf team finished fourth at the Ted Barclay Invitational in Granville, Ohio. After the first day, the Big Red would sit at fourth behind John Carroll, Wittenberg, and Otterbein before eventually staying put after the weekend finished up. Sophomore Owen Blakely would solidify his individual finish tying fourth, shooting a 70 on the last round of the invitational
Blakely led the way for the Big Red, as he finished the weekend with a total score of 144 (74-70), ultimately tying for fourth place with five other golfers.Â
Jack Pelletier was second on the Big Red and finished tied for 14th overall, registering a total score of 147 (73-74).
Nicholas Viana (75-73) finished tied for 21st, and Drew Brasky (72-80) and Jack Yurosek (77-75) finished tied for 34th to finish the weekend. It is the team's highest finish in the Ted Barclay Invitational since the 2023-24 season, when they finished third.

The Big Red golf team will be in University Heights, Ohio, from Sept. 21-22 for the Donald Ross Classic hosted by John Carroll University.
