UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Denison University women's soccer team's postseason run came to an end in the NCAC Championship on Sunday afternoon, as the Big Red fell 1-0 to John Carroll University at Don Shula Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, the Blue Streaks broke through in the 61st minute when they found the back of the net from behind the box to put them ahead. Despite a strong push from Denison in the closing minutes, including three shots on goal and a pair of late corner kicks, the Big Red couldn't find the equalizer.
Goalkeeper Molly Noga made seven saves to keep Denison within reach, while the Big Red held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Denison closes its season with a 9-5-5 record after advancing to the NCAC title match, marking another strong campaign under head coach Sarah Brink.
