GRANVILLE, Ohio (April 25, 2022) – Denison University Athletics earned three North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week awards for the week ending on Sunday, April 24.
Daniel Spencer was named the Baseball Player of the Week,
Anaya Jolivette was named the Women's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week, and
Erin Anderson was named the Women's Distance/Middle Distance Athlete of the Week.
Daniel Spencer, a senior from Northbrook, Illinois, hit .889 (8-for-9) on the week with a .923 on-base percentage and a 1.222 slugging percentage. The senior finished a 4-0 week for the Big Red with eight hits, seven RBI's, five runs scored, four walks and three doubles. Spencer went 2-for-2 with three RBI's, two runs scored and two walks at Kenyon on Wednesday; before going 3-for-3 with four RBI's in game one against Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday and then producing a 3-for-4 performance with two runs scored in game two against the Battling Bishops.
Anaya Jolivette, a freshman from San Francisco, California, clocked in with a 2022 conference leading time of 12.33 seconds in the 100 meter dash at the Jesse Owens Classic. The first-year also logged a time of 26.31 seconds in the 200 meter dash, which is a top-five conference time this season.

Erin Anderson, a junior from Elmhurst, Illinois, finished in second place while setting a new personal record of 2:17.10 in the 800 meter run at the Ohio State University Jesse Owens Classic. Her time now ranks No. 2 on Denison's top-10 list for the event for outdoor track & field and is the best time in the conference so far this season.
