Tiffany Davis won twice and so did Katherine Sylvia as Denison competed at the 2012 Big Red Invitational from Piper Stadium in Granville.  Also turning in a victory for DU was senior Ani Mutafova.

In the 100 and 200 meter dashes, Davis cruised to victories after her time of 12.67 in the 100 and 25.49 in the 200.  In the 800 meters, Mutafova would also cruise to a win by more than 10 seconds after her time of 2:23.92.

In the shot put and discus, Sylvia secured wins in both events with a throw of 34'3" in the shot and 121'8" in the discus.

In the 1500 meters, first-year Abbi Boss placed second in 5:01.91 and in the 3,000 meters, Olivia Galano placed eighth in 11:25.47.  DU senior Jane Zelenkov rounded out the top-finishers with an eighth-place finish in 1:06.00.

Before the end of the meet, Denison recognized senior members Ashlee Dickson, Laura Houcque, Mutafova, Sylvia and Zelenkov.
