Denison took 14th at the All-Ohio Championship hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday in Delaware, Ohio.
Reigning North Coast Athletic Conference Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week Tiffany Davis paced the Big Red with a pair of second-place finishes. In the 100, the sophomore ran a personal-best time of 12.52. She followed that up with a runner-up finish in the 200 after clocking in at 25.84.
Also scoring for DU was senior Ani Mutafova. Mutafova finished the 800-meter run in 2:20.97 en route to a fifth-place finish. The senior's time was also a personal best in the event. First-year Abbi Boss took 14th in the 1500-meter run after crossing the line in 5:02.48.
In the field events, senior Katherine Sylvia placed 15th in the discus after a toss of 95-06. Rookie Kristen Geary also had a top-20 finish in the pole vault. Geary took 17th in the event after clearing 8-02.50.
Mount Union captured the team title with 109 points, while Baldwin-Wallace (97.20), host Ohio Wesleyan (87.83), Case Western Reserve (75.20) and Oberlin (65) rounded out the top five.
The Big Red returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Gambier, Ohio for the Kenyon Invitational. Events are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
