Denison competed at the 15-team Marv Frye Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon at Selby Field in Delaware, Ohio.  Senior Ashley Putnam led DU with a fourth place finish in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 2:19.73.

Following Putnam with an eighth-place finish in the 100 meter dash was Tiffany Davis who crossed the finish line in 13.17 seconds.  Davis also returned to anchor the Big Red's eighth-place 4x100 relay team.  Along with teammates Alesha Stewart, Dareon Stacker and Rose Schrott, the four combined for a time of 51.42 in the relay.

Rounding out the top performances for DU was Ani Mutafova and Michelle Clark in the 1500 meters and Lianne McCluskey in the 400 meter dash.  Mutafova clocked in at 4:55.65 in the 1500 meters which was good enough for ninth-place.  Clark checked in at 5:05.69 and placed 14th.  In the 400 meters, McCluskey crossed the finish line in 1:05.28 which landed her 16th.

Denison will return to Ohio Wesleyan next Saturday (April 16) at the 2011 All-Ohio Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
