The Denison women's outdoor track and field team competed at the annual Division III All-Ohio Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday in Delaware, Ohio.
The Big Red were paced by senior Kirby Mosenthal who logged a sixth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:55.39, while classmate Ashley Putnam was seventh in the 800-meter run after crossing the line in 2:22.06.
A trio of DU runners placed in the top 20 in the 1,500-meter run. Ani Mutafova was ninth with a time of 5:03.45, while Michelle Clark and Julie Rotramel finished 17th (5:13.09) and 19th (5:13.76), respectively. In the 5,000-meter run, Anne McGinty took 19th with a time of 20:15.33.
In the field events, Claire Navarro logged a pair of top 20 finishes. Navarro was 13th in the long jump (15-01.50) and 18th in the triple jump (31-00.00). Ashlee Dickson also took 14th in the pole vault after clearing 9-04.25.
Denison returns to action on Saturday (April 23) at the Kenyon Spring Invitational in Grambier, Ohio.
