Women's Cross Country places 10th at OWU

POWELL, Ohio--  Denison women's cross country finished in 10th place at the 18-team Ohio Wesleyan Invitational from Liberty Park.  The Big Red was led by sophomore Erin O'Connor who finished in 56th place with a time of 24:08.9. 

Following in second for DU and 66th place overall, was first-year Isabelle Cannon who logged a time of 24:25.3.  Freshman Sarah Radziewicz placed 70th in 24:33.3 and Tommy Solberg took 90th after a time of 24:52.6.  Denison's fifth score came from sophomore Emma Riordan who covered the 6K course in 24:54.4.

The Big Red's lineup was rounded out by Phoebe Osterhout (25:48.4), Sara Lichtenberg (26:03.7), Caroline Bearce (26:24.6) and Sydney Lerda (27:18.7).

The team championship went to Hope College who finished with a team score of 64 points.  The winning individual was Linnea Halsten of Oberlin who set the pace with a time of 21:47.2.

Denison's next meet will come on Sept. 23 when they travel to the Purple Valley Classic in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
