Denison senior Michelle Clark was named to the 2012 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-Academic Team.
To qualify for the honor, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater through the most-recent semester and placed in the top 35 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
A 2012 All-NCAC honoree, Clark placed 10th overall out of 234 runners at the 2012 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional in Anderson, Ind. She covered the 6K course in 21:59.46. Her finish marked the highest by a DU runner since Katie Navarre won the regional in 2009.
In addition to Clark's individual honor, both the Big Red men's and women's teams earned USTFCCCA All-Academic status. To qualify the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or better. The women's team boasts a 3.5 grade point average, while the men's squad carries a 3.34 GPA.
