The Denison women's cross country team placed 12th out of 33 teams and senior Michelle Clark qualified for nationals, highlighting the day's events at the Division III Great Lakes Regional from Anderson, Ind.
After earning All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors two weeks ago, Clark returned with a 10th place overall finish out of the field of 234 runners. She covered the 6K course in 21:59.46. Her finish marked the highest by a DU runner since Katie Navarre won the regional in 2009.
Hope College won the team championship with 91 points. Oberlin followed in second with 95 points. The individual championship went to Ohio Northern's Alison Steinbrunner.
