Michelle Clark paced Denison at the 2011 NCAC Championship.

Denison totaled 153 points en route to an eighth-place finish at the 2011 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship event on Saturday at John Bryan State Park in Springfield, Ohio.

Pacing the Big Red was junior Michelle Clark, who finished the 6k race in 22nd place with a time of 24:01.6.  Trailing Clark were seniors Victoria Pottieger and Ani Mutafova.  Pottieger's time of 24:08.7 was good enough for 26th place, while Mutafova placed 32nd and crossed the line at 24:24.4.  Rounding out the DU scoring were first-year Abbi Boss and sophomore Olivia Galano.  Boss placed 40th with a time of 24:43.3, while Galano clocked in at 25:05.1 and finished 48th overall.

Oberlin ran away with the team title after claiming five of the top-10 individual spots.  The Yeowomen finished with 32 points, while Ohio Wesleyan was second with 103 and DePauw took third with 111.  OWU's Cara DeAngelis won the race with a time of 22:10.7.

In two weeks, Denison will compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional hosted by Oberlin College.
