NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Denison sophomore Ajai Brooks closed out the 2017 indoor track and field season by garnering All-American honors at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championship meet on Saturday at North Central College.

Already a three-time All-American, Brooks was looking to secure her second indoor honor and her first ever in the 60-meter dash. Coming off a personal-best-tying time of 7.69 in yesterday's prelims, the sophomore sprinter crossed the finish line on Saturday in 7.74 en route to a seventh-place finish that secured her first-ever All-American laurel in the 60-meter event.

Bridgewater's Amber Celen, who posted the top time in Friday's preliminaries, captured the national title after breaking the tape in 7.54. That time was two hundredths of a second faster than second-place Daisy Ogede of Washington University-St. Louis.

Prior to the 60-meter finals, Big Red junior Hannah Hall made her indoor nationals debut in the high jump. After clearing the opening height on her first attempt, Hall needed just two tries to clear 1.60 meters. The junior successfully cleared 5'5" on her final chance, but was unsuccessful in her attempt to clear 5'6.50". The 1.60-meter mark landed Hall in 15th place overall.

Ohio Wesleyan freshman Cirrus Robinson, the 2017 North Coast Athletic Conference champion in the high jump, captured her first-ever national championship after successfully clearing 5'7.75". Robinson and Williams' freshman Emma Egan both achieved the height, but because Robinson had no failed attempts until the final height she was named the Division III national champions in the high jump.
