First-year duo competes at OWU

Denison freshmen Aedin Brennan and Wallace Branche both took part in the Ron Althoff Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Monday afternoon in Delaware, Ohio.

Brennan competed in the long jump and javelin, while Branche was one of four athletes to participate in the triple jump.  In her first event of the day, Brennan finished fourth in the javelin after recording a personal-best performance of 96'2".  That toss was an 8'6" improvement on her previous PR, moving her into sixth on the school's top performers list.  She returned later in the day to win the long jump with a leap of 17'8.75"

Branche posted a second-place finish in the triple jump.  The rookie recorded his best distance in his first jump of the day.  Branche combined for a distance of 44'7.50".

Denison will take a select number of individuals to this weekend's Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill.
