Big Red sophomore Tiffany Davis was selected North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for sprints/hurdles following her performance at the Marv Frye Invitational.
Davis won both the 100 and 200-meter dash events to pace Denison in Delaware on Saturday. She posted a time of 12.62 in the 100, and 25.34 in the 200. The sophomore's time in the 200-meter dash was four-hundredths of a second shy of the school record set by Jill Westerfeld in 2001.
In addition, Davis' time in the 200 ranks 11th in all of Division III as listed by the Track & Field Results Reporting Systems (TFRRS). The NCAC accolade is the sophomore's third of the season, after she was named player of the week twice during the indoor track and field season.
Denison returns to Delaware next Saturday for the Division III All-Ohio Championship. Events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
