Geppner bows out of NCAA singles tourney
Kelsey Geppner is an All-American after her 1st Rd. win at the NCAA D-III Singles Championship.

Kelsey Geppner opened the 2013 NCAA Division III Singles Championship with a victory over LaVerne's Andrea Madrigal.  The win in the round of 32 assured Geppner her first career All-American certificate.  The 6-3, 6-3 win over Madrigal also set up a clash with Jordan Brewer of Amherst College in the round of 16.

Brewer was seeded 5th overall in the field of 32 in this year's singles championship.  She advanced to the second round by defeating Sonja Meighan in three sets.

In the second round match between Geppner and Brewer, the Big Red's No. 1 player did log a game in the first set, but Brewer would prevail, 6-1, 6-0 to advance to Friday's quartefinals. For Geppner, her season comes to a close with a 14-5 singles mark. Her win also marked the 26th All-American performance by a DU women's tennis player.
