DU ties with Kenyon in 2OT

GAMBIER, Ohio – Denison women's soccer traveled to Gambier, Ohio on Saturday afternoon where they played to a scoreless draw with Kenyon College at Mavec Field.

The Big Red outshot the Ladies 15-8 but failed to put one in the back of the net. Freshman Kelly O'Neill led the match with five shots taken, while senior Grace Murray finished right behind O'Neill with four. 

Senior goalkeeper Jenny Herold recorded her third shutout in the last four matches for Denison with a five-save performance in 110 minutes of play.  For Kenyon, sophomore keeper Jillian Countey countered with her own clean sheet, collecting three saves during the 110-minute double-overtime match.

The Big Red (4-3-3) will return to Granville next Saturday, Oct. 7 when they host DePauw University at Barclay-Thomsen Field at 3 p.m.
