Jordan Holmes scored 22 points and finished with 22 rebounds and five blocked shots as Denison ran its winning streak to 12 following a 56-42 win over The College of Wooster.
For Holmes, this marked the second time this season she has posted over 20 points and 20 rebounds in a game. After her 22 point effort, she needs only six points to become the 12th Denison player to join the 1,000-point club.
The Big Red held the Fighting Scots to just 16 points off 25 percent shooting in the first half as they took a 35-16 lead into the break. Midway through the third quarter, the Big Red opened up its largest lead of the game at 22 points, when Holmes scored inside off a lob pass from Gabrielle Nottage.
In the fourth quarter, Denison maintained its double-digit lead thanks to a 3-pointer by Kellie Arter and six more points from Holmes.
Holmes was 8-for-11 from the floor and was 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. Eighteen of her 22 rebounds came on the defensive end. She also helped with five blocked shots and three steals.
Arter followed with eight points and three assists in 18 minutes. Nottage led the way with six assists and four points in 14 minutes while Taylor Lindquist chipped in six points and three assists.
Wooster got 18 points from Lauren Hancher. She accounted for eight of the team's 18 field goals.
Denison improves to 19-3 and 12-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference while Wooster falls to 5-16 and 1-11 in conference play. The Big Red will look to extend its winning streak to 13 on Wednesday when they travel to Kenyon for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
