Denison was well represented on this year's All-North Coast Athletic Conference list of honorees as Serafina Nuzzo earned first-team accolades, Nicole Coggins was named to the second-team, and Gretchen Staubach received honorable mention.
Nuzzo was named to the All-NCAC first-team for the third consecutive season. Nuzzo finished fourth in the conference in points per game at 15.4 per game, which was a career-high. She leaves Denison ranked fourth in career scoring with 1,384 points. She is second in career assists with 436 and is third all-time in steals with 238. Earlier this season she was named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week after leading the Big Red to wins over Hiram and Oberlin. Nuzzo and 2013 NCAC Player of the Year, Kayla Ernst of Kenyon, were the only three-time, first-team selections recognized on this year's team.
For Coggins this marks her third-straight all-conference honor and her second, second-team award of her career. Coggins averaged 7.5 ppg and a career-best 4.8 rebounds per game this season. In 111 career games she scored 712 career points and averaged 6.4 ppg for her career.
Rounding out the award-winners for the Big Red was Staubach who enjoyed a breakthrough season as the team's starting post. The junior averaged 8.8 ppg and 5.6 rpg while starting all 26 games. She shot 45 percent from the field and scored a career-high 22 points in an 8-point win over Ohio Wesleyan on Dec. 5.
