Robertson is NCAC's Hitter of the Week

Denison sophomore first baseman Jessica Robertson was named North Coast Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week following her performance against Muskingum University last Friday.

The second-year player went 6-for-7 (.857) with a home run, a double, five RBIs and three runs scored as the Big Red swept the Muskies for the first time since March 29, 2001.  She also compiled a 1.429 slugging percentage and am .875 on-base percentage in the twinbill sweep.  Robertson smashed a three-run homer run to spark Denison's comeback bid in game one, and then capped off the 13-12 come-from-behind win with a walkoff single to right center in the bottom of the seventh frame.  DU won the second game of the doubleheader 4-1.

In seven starts this season, Robertson is hitting .667 (16-for-24) with four doubles, two homers, 13 RBIs and eight runs scored.  She also has a 1.083 slugging and .680 on-base percentage.

The Big Red (10-2) return to action on Tuesday (March 29) when they host John Carroll University in Granville.  First pitch for the twinbill is slated for 3:30 p.m.
