POWELL, Ohio-- The Denison men's cross country team closed out the 2017 season on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Liberty Park. Denison placed 20th out of 36 teams with 582 points.
The Big Red's third, fourth and fifth place finishers all finished within 17 spots of each other. Clayton Watters crossed the finish line in 28:00.1 to place 130th. Adam Cromwell placed 142nd out of 242 runners with a time of 28:16.8. Separated by only four runners, Zach Munn clocked in at 28:19.2 to place 147th to round out the scoring for DU.
The team champion was Calvin College who finished with 61 points. Ohio Northern's Ian McVey was the individual champion, setting the pace in 25:11.0.
