Chad Kosanovich finished first among Division III runners at Wooster.

Denison totaled 82 points en route to a third-place finish at the Fighting Scots Invitational hosted by the College of Wooster on Saturday.

Leading the way for the Big Red was senior Chad Kosanovich who took sixth after posting a time of 26:56.16.  Kosanovich was the first Division III runner to cross the finish line, with the first five spots occupied by runners from Division II Ashland.

Trailing Kosanovich were fellow senior Steven Johnson and sophomore John Williamson.  The duo crossed at basically the same time with Johnson beating out Williamson for 17th place by two-hundredths of a second (27:56.95).  Rounding out the scoring for Denison were junior Stephen Stitcher and freshman Mitch Keller.  Stitcher placed 22nd after clocking in at 28:12.63, while Keller was right behind him in 23rd with a time of 28:18.16.

Ashland won the team title with 15 points, while Ohio Wesleyan (65) and Denison finshed second and third, respectively.  Wooster (95), Kenyon (123) and Wittenberg (133) rounded out the team standings.  Ashland's Jake Sussman won the event with a time of 26:10.37.
