The Denison men's tennis team capped off their three-match homestand with a 6-0 North Coast Athletic Conference West Division victory over Wittenberg on Tuesday from the Mitchell Fieldhouse in Granville.

Like the women's match earlier in the day, the men also played to a decision and started with the singles flights. Denison went 4-0 in the first wave of singles matches. Senior Juan Guerra got back in the win column following a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Tyler Strong at No. 1 singles.  Fellow senior Andrew Marczak also won at the second flight after winning with matching 6-2 scores.

At the third singles, junior Casey Cempre notched his team-best seventh-consecutive singles win after a dominating 6-0, 6-1 decision over Jialang Woo, while Grant Veltman was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 4 singles. Needing just one point for the victory, sophomore Jackson O'Gorman-Bean and junior Graham Gettel finished simultaneously as DU secured the 6-0 victory.  O'Gorman-Bean won 6-1, 6-0 at fifth singles, while Gettel defeated Sean Munson 6-0, 6-1 at the sixth flight.

The Big Red improves to 11-5 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC West, while Wittenberg fall to 11-7 and 2-2 in conference action.  Denison closes out the regular season with a pair of road conference matches this weekend.  DU will take on Wabash this Friday at 4:30 p.m.  On Saturday, the Big Red will battle the 23rd-ranked DePauw Tigers at 2 p.m.
