GAMBIER, Ohio –Kenyon's Brice Koval scored in the 19th minute and teammate Henry Myers answered eight minutes later helping the Lords defeat the Big Red 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at Mavec Field.

Outshooting Denison 18-4, Koval broke the scoreless tie in the 19th minute when he sent a penalty kick past DU's goalkeeper Dylan Brown to give the Lords an early 1-0 lead. In the 27th minute, Koval found Myers on a cross that was finished in the back of the net to give Kenyon a 2-0 advantage heading into intermission.

Myers added his second goal of the match with a header in the 61st minute, but the Big Red answered 13 minutes later as senior Jasdeep Khaira tallied his first goal of the season on a free kick from 45 yards out to put Denison on the board.

In goal for DU, Brown totaled six saves in 90 minutes of action, while Kenyon's Ian McInturf allowed only one goal in a full match effort.

The Big Red returns home on Saturday, Oct. 7 as they play host to DePauw University. The match is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. at Barclay-Thomsen Field.
