MANSFIELD, Ohio -- Denison men's golf currently holds a sixth-place position after round one at the NCAC Fall Preview at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio. At the halfway point, Wittenberg University leads the tournament with a team score of 297 and Kenyon College finds themselves in second with a 304.
DU's best score of the day came from freshman Will Grady who posted a six-over-par 78 after day one and is tied with Bobby Hapanowicz of Allegheny College in 14th.
Denison continued to stay close on the leaderboard after the opening round as Nick Brodbeck recorded an 81 for a tie at 23rd and Christian Early logged an 84 to place him in a tie for 37th entering Monday's final round.
Sophomore Connor Holleran rounded out the scoring for DU with an 85 after round one, good for a tie for 40th place.
The Big Red will return to Westbrook Country Club on Monday, Oct. 16 for the final round of the 2017 NCAC Fall Preview.
