After one day at the 36-hole O'Briant-Jensen Memorial in Greensboro, N.C., Denison sits in 12th place out of 17 teams after an opening round 312.

The Big Red was led by junior Jimmy Slovitt who carded a four-over par round of 74, to tie for 14th in the field of 96 golfers. Dylan Francis followed with a 77 and Drew Baker posted an 80.  Denison's fourth score to count toward its total was an 81 from Aaron Klimchuk and Rich Van Voorhis.

The low round of the day came from Averett University's Brandon Grogan who fired a three-under par 67.  Greensboro College leads the tournament by two strokes over second-place Hampden-Sydney after totaling 293.  Denison trails 11th place Berry by three strokes and is just 10 strokes out of fifth-place.

The Big Red will complete its fall season tomorrow with the final round of the O'Briant Jensen Memorial from the Dye Course at Sedgefield Country Club.
