Denison places 7th in NCAC standings
Aaron Klimchuk posted a 76 in the final day of the NCAC Invitational.

The Denison men's golf team put the finishing touches on its 2012-13 season by placing sixth at the North Coast Athletic Conference Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.  Combined with last weekend's 36-hole score, that landed the Big Red in seventh-place in this year's NCAC Championship Series standings.

On Sunday at Oakhaven Golf Course, Aaron Klimchuk fired a second-round 76.  Combined with his 75 on Saturday, that placed Klimchuk sixth at the tournament and 11th in the series standings, which lands him on the NCAC all-conference squad for the third-straight season.

Another Big Red golfer who put together a strong series was sophomore Jimmy Slovitt.  He carded an 81 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 10th in the tournament standings.  Overall, Slovitt posted a 72-hole score of 307 (75, 77, 74, 81).  That total led all Denison golfers with a ninth-place finish.  This is Slovitt's first All-NCAC honor of his young career.

Alex Geanakos turned in a 78 on Sunday to tie with teammate Dylan Francis for 21st place in the tournament.  Geanakos posted a four round total of 322 (77, 84, 83, 78) while Francis was right behind at 323 (76, 86, 81, 80).
