After 18 holes of competition, the Denison men's golf team sits in fourth place with 324 strokes at the Nye Intercollegiate hosted by the College of Wooster at Wooster Country Club.
The Big Red enters the final rounds two strokes behind third-place Wooster and two strokes in front of fifth-place Kenyon in the team standings. Wittenberg leads the 16-team field with 308 strokes, while Mount Union is second with 312.
Junior captain Aaron Klimchuk paced the Big Red with first-round score of 78 which landed him in a tie for sixth place. Sophomore Dylan Francis carded a 79 to finish in a tie for 11th through 18 holes. Senior Jeff Maier shot an 81, while sophomore Jimmy Slovitt rounded out the scoring with an 86.
Denison wraps up the Nye Intercollegiate on Sunday in Wooster, Ohio.
