Big Red wins Myrtle Beach Shootout
Alex Geanakos fired a season-low 79 at Wednesday's Myrtle Beach Shootout.

The Denison men's golf team won the Myrtle Beach Shootout after firing a team total 313 on the Norman Course at Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Junior Aaron Klimchuk and sophomore Jimmy Slovitt finished tied for second with matching 77s.  Sophomore Alex Geanakos posted a season-low 79 en route to finishing third on the squad, while senior Jeff Maier rounded out DU's scoring with an 80.

The Big Red won the four-team event by seven strokes, besting North Coast Athletic Conference foe Kenyon (320).  Albion finished third with 329 strokes, while Elms took fourth (332).  The Lords' Jack Tomashot took home medalist honors after carding a 76.

Denison returns to action on April 5-6 for the Muskingum Invitational at EagleSticks Golf Club in Zanesville, Ohio.
