Big Red places 7th at Fall Classic
The Denison men's golf team finished their annual Fall Classic from Granville Golf Course in seventh place after a two-day total of 633.
Denison's best round of the day came from Jimmy Slovitt who rebounded from an 81 on Saturday with a one-over par, 72 on Sunday. Slovitt's card included a pair of birdies on the 501-yard, par 5, sixth hole and the 369-yard, par 4, 18th hole to go along with 13 pars. Slovitt finished in a tie for 14th place in the field of 74 golfers.
First-year Nick Margolis and Alex Geanakos both followed with an 81 while Dylan Francis checked in with an 81.
The team championship went to Wittenberg who shot a 601, outdistancing second-place Ohio Wesleyan by eight strokes. Medalist honors were earned by Jacob Stasiwlewicz of Columbus State.
