DU breaks record on the links
Denison enjoyed another strong day of golf from EagleSticks in Zanesville. The Big Red closed out the Muskingum Invitational in second-place with a two-round total of 583, breaking the previous 36-hole school record of 585 set earlier this season at the Denison Fall Classic.
The Big Red was led by Aaron Klimchuk's 72 and Jimmy Slovitt's 73. Dylan Lee and Dylan Francis followed with 75s. Francis led all DU golfers with a two-round total of 144, placing him sixth in the standings.
Otterbein earned the team championship with a score of 569. Mount Union placed third behind back-to-back 67's by medalist Colin Broughton.
DU will serve as the host of the 36-hole Ted Barclay Invitational on April 7-8 from Granville Golf Course.
