GREENCASTLE, Ind.—Denison tallied a pair of second half goals on Saturday at DePauw and that was enough to blank the Tigers, 2-0 at Reavis Stadium.  The win extends Denison's winning streak to seven games.

Denison outshot DePauw 8-5 in the first half but four saves by Tiger goalie Hannah Metzger was enough to keep the score tied at 0-0.

In the second half, Ali Gakenheimer inserted a penalty corner to Jen Durbin.  Durbin controlled the ball and found Gakenheimer who was open in front of the cage.  With 30 minutes left in the contest, Denison had a 1-0 lead.

That's the way the score would stay until the 63rd minute when Abby Scully scored for the first time this season on an unassisted goal, lifting Denison to a 2-0 advantage.

For the match, Denison held a 14-5 lead in shots while out-cornering the Tigers, 12-4.  Kerry Lawler finished with two saves while playing all 70 minutes in goal for the Big Red.  Lucy Pearsall led Denison in shots with four and Durbin recorded one defensive save.

The win caps off a big week for Denison that saw them knock off the North Coast Athletic Conference's previously unbeaten, Kenyon Ladies, 2-1 in overtime on Tuesday.  At 9-3 overall and 6-2 in the NCAC, the Big Red will host Wooster on Tuesday, Oct. 10 before traveling to Oberlin on Friday, Oct. 13.
