Kell named Academic All-American
Denison junior defensive end Nat Kell was named to the 2011 Capital One Division III Academic All-America second-team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Kell becomes Denison's 61st Academic All-America selection and he is the sixth Academic All-American to come from the Big Red football program.
A junior mathematics and computer science major, Kell boasts a nearly flawless 3.96 grade point average. The 2011 season marked the second year with Kell as a starter on the Big Red defense. The Upper Arlington, Ohio native posted 24 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, one half sack and one forced fumble in Denison's 27-13 victory over The College of Wooster.
Kell is a two-time Academic All-District first-team selection. He was an honorable mention All-NCAC choice in 2010 after posting 42 tackles and eight sacks. In 28 career games played he has 88 tackles and 25 tackles for a loss, which is the most TFL's among active Denison players.

It recognizes over 800 outstanding student-athletes annually in Division I, II, III and NAIA covering all NCAA championship sports.
