The Denison men’s and women’s swimming and diving team’s will open the brand-new Trumbull Aquatics Center this Saturday when they host Malone University in the first dual meet of the new facility.
The new aquatics center is named for Scott 70 and Margy Trumbull. The facility, features a 50-meter long, 25-yard wide competition course; a large diving well with four springboards; and spectator seating for more than 1,000. The facility is four-times larger than the college's former natatorium, Mike Gregory Pool.
Denison men’s swimming & diving is coming off the program’s second consecutive NCAA Division III national championship and its fourth-straight North Coast Athletic Conference Championship. Returning to the fold are All-Americans Quinn Bartlett, Sean Chabot, Connor Dignan, Gabe Dixson, Spencer Fronk, Dan Hellman, Jackson Humphrey, Robert Lawley, Carlos Maciel, Damon Rosenburg, Ben Snader, and Al Weik.
The women’s swimming & diving team posted a third-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championship, marking the 16th top-3 finish in program history. The women are also defending NCAC champions for the fourth-consecutive year. They return All-Americans, Maddie Armitage, Tully Bradford, Sarah DiNardo, Michelle Howell, Natalie Lugg, Cari Martin, Victoria Masney, Morgan Nuess, Alyssa Swanson, Molly Willingham, and Lindsay Zeberlein.
The meet will get underway at 1 p.m. from the Trumbull Aquatics Center. The Denison Sports Network will provide live video coverage of the meet beginning at 12:55 p.m.
