It's a big weekend for Denison swimming and diving as they go head-to-head with a pair of Division I opponents. On Friday, they will make the short trip to Columbus to take on Ohio State in a dual meet before returning on Saturday to host Xavier at the Trumbull Aquatics Center at 1 p.m.
This is the eighth-straight season Denison and Ohio State have faced off in a dual meet. In the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division III Top-25 poll, Denison's men are No. 1 and the women are No. 3. Ohio State's women are ranked No. 22 and the men are 23rd in the CSCAA Division I poll.
Denison opened its dual meet season on Oct. 22 with losses to Division I Eastern Michigan. The men were led by senior diver Brian Allen who won the 3-meter board with a six-dive score of 306.75. Kenny Fox posted a 21.44 in the 50 free and Stuart Hohm logged a 1:42.12 in the 200 freestyle.
The women were led by four-time All-American Halli Garza and her NCAA 'B' cut time of 2:06.54 in the 200 fly. First-year KT Kustritz was named the NCAC Swimmer of the Week after winning the 200 IM in 2:10.08.
