The purpose of Denison ZUMBA is to help encourage Denison students, faculty and staff to take an active role in promoting their personal fitness and overall well being in a way that is entertaining and manageable for people of all fitness levels.

Zumba sessions will last one hour and will be held twice a week for thirteen weeks per semester. No Zumba sessions will occur during the week of finals nor while classes are

Zumba is comprised of Latin dance steps with whole body fitness movements. This aerobic fitness program is based on the principle of interval training where the heart rate increases and decreases throughout the workout, enabling participants to burn calories and get fit.

We have a number of classes throughout the week for you to choose from.  On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon's Kati Weis instructs a class from 3:30 p.m. till 4:30 p.m.

On Monday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Laura Moxley leads a class and on Wednesday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Owen Shelton will be the instructor.

Classes take place in Room 252 on the second floor of the Mitchell Center. Don't forget your water bottle.


not in session.  Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle!
